Integrated Pangenome of Bipolaris sorokiniana

Bipolaris sorokiniana is a hemibiotrophic fungal pathogen of wheat that causes spot blotch, resulting in significant yield losses. This study establishes a population-scale pangenome from 19 global strains, revealing a conserved core genome for essential functions and a dynamic accessory genome driving adaptation. The findings of the study provide genomic resources for disease surveillance and the functional characterization of the pathogen's virulence determinants.
