Volatile fatty acids are used in industries to produce pesticides, preservatives, antibacterial in livestock feed as well as flavour compounds and raw material to produce bioplastic. Hence, their production from waste is important component sustainability and of circular economy. In our study, we determined the effect of operational conditions on VFA production from wastewater and monitored the microbial community structure and interactions.
