Music serves as an artistic language that conveys human emotions to listeners. In medical practice, music therapy has been employed in the treatment of neurological disorders. In this study, we revealed an unrecognized role of music intervention as a therapeutic strategy in intestinal inflammation. Transcriptomal analysis uncovered that musical stimuli leads to a global enhancement of Histone H3 lysine 4 (H3K4) methylation, which is associated with increased expression of H3K4 methyltransferases.
