Werribee River and Point Cook Restoration and Wetlands Habitat Enhancement Project 1

The Werribee River Park Master Plan identifies actions to be carried out in the 5 to 10 year time-frame. These actions include revegetaion of local Ecological Vegetation Classes including Escarpment Shrub-land and Open Grassy Woodlands. The habitat of the Orange Bellied Parrot at the mouth of the River is significant and requires restoration. Point Cook Coastal Park protects the historic homestead, Bassalt Plains Grasslands, freshwater lakes and coastal dune ecosystems.
