Genome and Transcriptome of the High-Efficiency Selenite-Reducing Ligilactobacillus salivarius Strain DACN818

This study provides a high-quality multi-omics dataset for Ligilactobacillus salivarius strain DACN818, a novel probiotic strain isolated from traditional homemade paocai. This strain exhibits remarkable efficiency in sodium selenite reduction, converting over 70% within 24 hours at a concentration of 2000 ug/mL, outperforming known lactic acid bacteria. The dataset includes the complete genome sequence and strand-specific transcriptome profiles. The genome provides a genetic basis for its probiotic traits, while the transcriptome under selenite stress reveals molecular mechanisms of its high tolerance and reduction capability. This resource is valuable for developing selenium-biofortified probiotics.
