Staphylococcus xylosus : strain NM36 Genome sequencing. Staphylococcus xylosus strain:NM36

We identified a strain of S. xylosus that was resistant to antibiotics in the milk of a cow that had signs of mastitis. Whole genome sequencing of Staphylococcus xylosus NM36 was done to find information about variants and to perform gene annotation on key genes based on database information. Because they show how common antimicrobial resistance determinants are in animal staphylococci against clinically relevant antimicrobials, these results could affect how cow mastitis is diagnosed and treated.
