National IA Frequency Zones International Public

Initial attack frequency zones are used by pilots and dispatchers for purposes of response to incidents such as wildland fires. Use of international initial attack frequency zones would be coordinated as needed by the Communications Duty Officer at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), Initial attack frequency zones are delineated to help ensure that frequencies used do not "bleed" over into other nearby incident areas causing issues for incident communications. The data contains no actual frequencies, but does contain the zone identifier. No Changes January 2026.
