Sequencing of various bacterial species with Nanopore Sequencing for whole genome analysis of DNA methylation. DNA samples were extracted from isolate cultures. This project include nanopore reads from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens H, Bacillus fusiformis 1226, Clostridium perfringens ATCC 13124, Escherichia coli K-12 substr. MG1655 ATCC 47076, Helicobacter pylori JP26, Meiothermus chliarophilus DSM 9957, Methanospirillum hungateis JF-1, Neisseria gonorrhoeae FA 1090, and Nocardia otitidiscaviarum NEB252, and Thermacetogenium phaeum DSM 12270. Matching Whole Genome Amplification samples are also sequenced. For each bacteria, nanopore sequencing raw signal is compared between the native and the WGA datasets to detect, classify, and fine-mapped DNA methylation across the genome.
