Metagenomic Analysis of Blood Microbiota in HIV-Infected Individuals and the Impact of Antiretroviral Therapy

This dataset comprises quality-controlled metagenomic sequencing data from blood samples of 91 participants, including 31 newly diagnosed HIV-infected individuals who had not received antiretroviral therapy (HIV group), 30 HIV-infected individuals undergoing ART with a viral load below the detection limit (ART group), and 30 healthy controls.The sequencing data were processed by removing low-quality reads and adapter sequences. The filtered reads were then aligned to the human reference genome (hg38) to remove host-derived sequences, resulting in high-quality clean data representing the remaining microbial sequences.This dataset provides valuable metagenomic data for investigating the composition and diversity of the blood microbiome in HIV-infected individuals and the effects of ART.
