Berlin was the German city with the largest value of retail real estate investment in 2023. That year, around one billion euros was invested in retail space in the city. In other cities, investments declined dramatically. Munich, for example, witnessed volumes plummeting from 852 million euros in 2022 to 34 million euros in 2023. Germany is one of the largest retail real estate investment markets in Europe.
