Observer catch data of ocean prawn trawl associated with Smith & Johnson 2025

These data are from the 2017-2019 scientific observer survey of the NSW (Australia) ocean prawn trawl. They are catch data (kg per trip) for numerous fish species and associated metadata. These data are used in the joint species analyses in Smith and Johnson 2025 (J. Appl. Ecol). These data have been anonymised (vessel identity and species identity) and the location information coarsened - to protect the personal and protected information inherent in commercial fishing data. Some small stochasticity can be added to the location data to recreate realistic spatial information as originally analysed. For more information contact: [e-mail]
