High PM2.5 exposed and low PM2.5 exposed individuals were screened and tested for their sputum and blood samples. NGS was carried out in the blood samples of the two groups where there were a huge number of deregulated genes in the high exposed group with respect to the low exposed groups. Further study of these deregulated genes led to several pathways which were deregulated in the high exposed group with respect to the low exposed groups.
