FAIRsharing record for: Universal Trial Number

This FAIRsharing record describes: As part of the WHO Registry Criteria for linking related records on the ICTRP Search Portal, the WHO Universal Trial Number (UTN) is assigned to unambiguously identify a trial, even though it may have multiple registration records (that is, the trial may appear on more than one registry database). WHO UTN assignments are obtained early in the history of the trial, and help to uniquely identify clinical trials registered in WHO Primary Registries, of which are displayed on the WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform's (ICTRP) through the search portal.
