Cost models for distributed data mining

The objective of this paper is to present cost models for estimating the response time for the distributed data mining process. We specify the different cost components for the client-server and the mobile agent based architectural models for distributed data mining. The underlying objective for developing the cost models is to optimise distributed data mining. The paper also proposes an integrated and hybrid model for distributed data mining to realise this objective of minimising response time.
