资源简介:
<br>This dataset provides exploration metrics of juvenile newts (Ichthyosaura alpestris and Lissotriton vulgaris) during acute temperature changes. Prior to conducting behavioral assays, juvenile newts were exposed to two different thermal rearing regimes for a duration of five weeks. In behavioral trials, we systematically varied the direction and position of temperature changes along the thermal axis. The resulting dataset offers insights into three key traits:1. Covered distance (cm): This metric represents the distance traveled by the juveniles during a 1°C temperature change.2. Average speed (cm/s): This metric quantifies the average locomotor speed exhibited by the juveniles during a 1°C temperature change.3. Body mass (g): Body mass of the juvenile newts.Additionally, the second dataset provides information on the intercepts and slopes derived from individual thermal reaction norms for exploration in juvenile newts. For those interested in conducting further analysis and generating figures, the third file contains an R script.
