Individual data set from the programme of pesticide residues in foodstuffs (PSMR) from the reporting year 2020

The individual data form the basis for the National Report on Plant Protection Residues in Food 2020, which summarises the results of tests for pesticide residues carried out in Germany in 2020 on foods of plant and animal origin, including infant and young children’s formula. The reporting shall also include the results of the multiannual coordinated control programme of the Union, based on Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, which serves to verify compliance with maximum levels of pesticide residues in or on food of plant and animal origin and to assess consumer exposure to pesticide residues via food. The food and active substances to be investigated under this programme in 2020 were announced in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/533 of 18 March 2019. All data on products with a sampling period from 1 January to 31 January were collected. December 2020, which were reported to the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) by the testing facilities of the official food and veterinary surveillance of the 16 Länder.
