Construction of a permanent, whale watching platform

The project is to build a permanent whale watching platform at the identified location (Wade Street, Portland). The platform will be located at an elevated site which is currently used as an unofficial whale watching site. The establishment of a new permanent concrete platform, together with new safety rails and whale watching educational information, will provide whale watchers with a safe and secure environment to observe whale and dolphin activity with un-obstructed views. All weather fixed binoculars will be installed, to provide assistance to those patrons with impared vision.
