Diverse life — Biodiversity in the Hohentauern

The International Year of Biodiversity was the occasion for the Hohe Tauern National Park together with the Haus der Natur to publish a brochure on biodiversity. The 60-page booklet offers a great overview of the typical habitats of the protected area: Starting from the valleys, one climbs thematically over the alpine pastures up to the summit regions and meets many animal and plant species, which are exemplary for the biodiversity of the Hohe Tauern. The brochure also shows the tasks and opportunities a national park has in the fight against the loss of biodiversity.
