Genome assembly of a previously unculturable autotrophic hydrogen-oxidizing Chromatiaceae which was enriched from a water column sample and which is highly similar to an endosymbiont colonizing a snail from hydrothermal vents. The organism was cultured independently from the snail in artificial seawater with hydrogen and thiosulfate as the only energy source.
