Native and alien species ranges

The file contains native and alien ranges of 1380 species worldwide obtained from the Global Invasive Species Database (http://www.iucngisd.org/gisd/) and CABI Invasive Species Compendium (http://www.cabi.org/isc/). The data are used to produce the results shown in Seebens, Essl and Blasius: The intermediate distance hypothesis of biological invasions, which is accepted for publication in Ecology Letters. The file is in csv format containing six columns: Species name, life form, native range, alien range, distance (great circle distance between the centroids of the respective regions) and species weights.
