Textile products and methods of manufacturing textile products

The present invention relates to a multi-layer fiber product and a method of making this kind of product. The product comprises a first layer 12 mainly made of natural fibers and a second heat seal layer 14 located on top of the first layer. The heat seal layer 14 is mainly composed of synthetic thermoplastic fibers or particles. According to this method， the heat sealing layer 14 is already introduced on the first layer 12 during the web forming process， and the first and second layers are formed and joined together in the foam forming process. According to the present invention， it is possible to reduce the amount of plastic material in a packaging material having heat sealing properties.
