Clostridium perfringens in health individuals and patients in China

Clostridium perfringens is becoming a growing concern for public health due to its capacity to cause several infections and its progressively increasing resistance to antibiotics. In order to evaluate its current epidemiology within clinical environments, we conducted a survey that included 184 isolates from healthy individuals and 36 isolates from ICU inpatients at a provincial hospital in China.
