Hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) are a population of liver fibroblasts responsible for fibrogenesis in many liver diseases. Transforming growth factor-B1 (TGFB1) is a potent inducer of pro-fibrotic responses in HSCs. In this study, we have exposed LX-2 cells, an immortalized human HSC line, to TGFB1 to identify the transcriptomic responses that follow.
