eCHFD : extended Ceasefire Hierarchical Firearm Dataset

The eCHFD dataset is a comprehensive and enriched resource containing 93,380 images representing 505 distinct firearm models. This expanded dataset was created by combining images of 245 firearm models captured at the Toulouse Forensics Laboratory (France) with images from our previously published CHFD dataset and additional downloaded images.

The CHFD dataset, which comprises 260 firearm models, has already been published and is accessible via the following DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10599412

In this version, we are publishing only the 245 new firearm models, organized into training and validation sets. This subset contains images exclusively captured at the Toulouse Forensics Laboratory (France) and does not include any images sourced from external or web-based resources.

This dataset is available in two separate archives:

eCHFD_part1.zip contains 122 classes

eCHFD_part2. zip contains 123 classes and can be downloaded via: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14908397

To access the complete dataset covering all 505 firearm models, researchers must combine this supplementary version with the original CHFD dataset. Together, these datasets provide a robust foundation for fine-grained firearm classification, offering diversity in perspectives and configurations for each firearm model.
