Cultural Stewardship in Urban Spaces Dataset

This research data explores Māori experiences in urban areas with a particular focus on the concept of Kaitiakitanga and urban ecological restoration. The data gathered covers a range of topics such as demographic information, Māori movements across urban areas of Aotearoa, gathering of natural resources, use of natural resources, restoration engagement and activities, and maintenance and resotration of natural areas. The data also shares discussions about kaitiakitanga understandings and its application through cultural practice. In addition, the dataset also includes exploration of engagement between local and transient Māori in urban areas.
