France: private car fleet by propulsion type 2022

In 2022, diesel and petrol internal combustion engines (ICEs) remained the most popular propulsion type in France. Over 21.36 million vehicles in circulation were powered by a diesel ICE, with 15.52 million petrol ICE cars on the roads as well.
