"Portable IMU Device for Standard Pen in Signature Authentication Dataset"

"To make signature-based authentication more ubiquitous, the goal of this study is to accurately capture the signature trace of regular pens on smart devices without the need for specific writing surfaces or specialized devices. A single-IMU-based device attached with regular pen will be used to capture the pseudo-signature traces of an individual on a regular paper\/board surface. Also, multiple subjects will try to forge the original pseudo-signature to gain to falsely authenticate him\/herself. The developed system will try to identify and authenticate the correct user. By leveraging accelerometer and gyroscope data, the system is designed to differentiate between genuine and forged signatures. The dataset supports research in biometric authentication, signal processing, and machine learning. It is intended to facilitate the development and evaluation of algorithms for signature verification and identification. The overall goal is to provide a low-cost and practical solution for secure authentication in real-world applications."
