Catalog of ionosphere vertical soundings data

"This catalog covers ionospheric vertical soundings data, the discipline listed as B.1 in the ICSU "Guide to International Data Exchange Through the World Data Centeres". The catalog lists all B.1 data held at World Data Center A for Solar-Terrestrial Physics (WDC-A/STP), some B.1 data held elsewhere and all vertical sounding stations known to have operated. The entries for data stored at another location were made based on information provided by others and WDC-A/STP cannot attest to the condition, quality, or completeness of these data. However, as is done for data held at WDC-A/STP, all efforts will be made to assist the user in obtaining data held elsewhere. The catalog is designed for the user and provides the kind of detail normally needed. However, if more details are required than are given in Section V or other parts of thus publication one should not hesitate to make contact with WDC-A/STP through those names listed in Section II for further information"--Introduction.
