Elucidating the mechanism of adipogenic differentiation of mesenchymal progenitor cell in skeletal muscle

Based on the hypothesis that the appearance of intermuscular adipose tissue is induced by paracrine signaling by surrounding cells, we will identify the cells surrounding adipocytes and analyze gene expression of those cells. The goal is to elucidate the mechanism of adipocyte appearance in skeletal muscle.
