Responses tophytoalexins in the necrotrophic fungus Alternaria brassicicola

To gain insights into the cellular mechanisms by which indolic phytoalexins exerts its toxicity and investigate the adaptive strategies used by the fungus, we analyzed fungal transcriptional responses to short-term exposure to brassinin and camalexin. Camalexin (50 µM) and brassinin (100 µM) treatments were compared to non-treated cultures at three time points (0.5 h, 2 h and 6 h). Three biological replicates were analyzed per comparison using the dye-switch method.
