资源简介:
Despite the growing incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) due to increased hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis in Western populations, the genetic determinants of this cancer have yet to be established. A minority (15-20%) of HCC occurs in livers without cirrhosis or other chronic disease. Resected tumors from these cases present investigatory opportunities as the absence of cirrhosis may provide an unconfounded background from which to investigate the genetic tumorigenesis of HCC. In this sequencing study we will generate whole genome and RNA sequence of HCC tumor/normal pairs, including samples from cases without cirrhosis or identified chronic liver disease, samples from cases with cirrhosis only and samples from cases with cirrhosis and HCV infection.
