Physcomitrium (Physcomitrella) patens is a model plant with two main gametophyte development stages: protonema and gametophore.Here, we present direct RNA sequencing data of gametophores and protonemata of Physcomitrium patens ecotype Gransden 2004. RNA was isolated with Trizol from 5-day old protonemata or 2 months old gametophores and sequenced using kit SQK-RNA002, flow cells FLO-MIN106 and MinION device. One flow cell was used for each biological replicate. Four gametophores samples and three protonemata samples are presented. Basecalling was performed with Guppy v. 4.0.15.
