Population origin determines the adaptive potential for the advancement of flowering onset in Lupinus angustifolius (Fabaceae)

In this study we used artificial selection to asses the adaptive potential for advancing flowering onset in <em>Lupinus angustifolius</em> L. We establisehd different artificial selection lines in individuals from four populations from two contrasting latitudes in Spain that were sown in a common garden environment. Flowering onset, reproductive success and other plant traits (height, biomass, shoot growth, LDMC and SLA) were measured.
