Vertical patterns of the sediment microbial community composition in Sayram Lake

The aims of this study were to: (i) characterize the vertical diversity and bacterial community composition (BCC) of the sediment in Sayram lake, (ii) determine whether there is spatial heterogeneity of the sediment BCC, and which major environmental factors control the vertical variation of sediment BCC.
