Isolates from a population of Actinoplanes which are clearly distinct from currently recognized species are tentatively designated at the species level.
The genome of the isolate Spirosoma sp. HA7 was sequenced. Strain HA7 is a new species in the genus Spirosoma and was isolated from the microhabitat of a common hazel pollen.
