Blastocystis sp. Raw sequence reads

We aim to improve the epidemiological understanding of the intestinal protists Blastocystis sp. and D. fragilis by analyzing their prevalence and distribution of their subtypes/genotypes in different groups of NHPs and their caregivers in the zoological gardens across the Czech Republic. A major goal of this study is to explore the potential for zoonotic transmission, especially in environments that foster close contact, as is the case in zoos.
