EMIT 60-m and ground-based surface mineralogy and soil texture data from the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts of Southern California

This dataset comprises EMIT 60-m surface mineralogy and soil texture scenes for the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts of southern California, together with ground-based mineralogy and particle size distribution measurements of soil samples collected from active dust sources in the Sonoran Desert. The data are described in detail and used in analyses presented in "Comparison of Soil Mineralogy from EMIT Imaging pectroscopy and Ground-Based Measurements in the Deserts of Southern California" submitted to JGR Atmospheres.
