Egg production and quality and nest use in hens from different rearing enrichments

These data report on the hen-day egg production across a flock cycle for free-range hens from different rearing enrichment treatments. Weekly egg weights and periodic egg quality measurements are included as well as use of different nest boxes within the pens. \nLineage: !386 hens were reared for 16 weeks with exposure to different types of rearing enrichments. Daily egg production was then counted from 18 weeks until 65 weeks of age. Average egg weights were taken weekly and eggs were periodically assessed across the flock cycle for external and internal egg quality. Locations eggs were laid were also recorded daily to determine preferences for different nest boxes within each pen.
