Assessment of microbiological hazards in fitness center in central Poland

The health benefits of sports facilities using have been questioned over the last 2 years due to the potential spread of SARS-CoV-2 responsible for the Covid-19 pandemic in such objects. Therefore the aim of this study was to assess the microbiological hazards in fitness centre in central Poland (central Poland) including determination of airborne dust concentration, number of microorganisms in the air and on surfaces (culture method), diversity of microorganisms (high high-throughput sequencing on the Illumina platform) and presence of SARS-CoV-2 on surface (PCR method)
