Replication Data for: Inflammation impairs post-hospital discharge growth among children hospitalised with acute illness in sub-Saharan Africa and south Asia.

This is a replication dataset for the manuscript titled: \"Inflammation impairs post-hospital discharge growth among children hospitalised with acute illness in sub-Saharan Africa and south Asia. The datasets were generated through the CHAIN network study as detailed in the manuscript (https://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/9/5/e028454.full) as well as data from the omics systems analysis as detailed here https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36415883/. The CHAIN network is a multi-site, prospective, observational cohort study, that enrolled children aged 1 week to 2years at admission to hospitals at nine sites located in four African and two South Asian countries. Enrolment was stratified by anthropometric status and children are followed throughout hospitalisation and for 6months after discharge. Anthropometry, full blood count, biochemitry etc were collected during the CHAIN Cohort. The enteric dysfunction, systemic inflammation and growth mediators were collected in the systems biology omics study. The data is available at admission and discharge.
