A real photo postcard studio portrait of a black woman and her daughter, Los Angeles, California, USA, circa 1928. The image shows the woman, wearing a black coat and black cloche hat and the girl, wearing a light colored outfit and grayish colored hat, standing behind a railing and in front a backdrop that simulates a train. Signs reading "Los Angeles Special" and "Golden State Limited 1928" are in view, the latter perhaps displaying the year. The unused card has some major stains, significant soiling and rubbing, but not materially affecting the image and the condition is fair.
