Using RNA-seq Technology reveals Bambusa oldhamii Culm Color Variation with Culm Samples

The clumping bamboo Bambusa oldhamii, known as "green timber bamboo", wildly famous for its edible bamboo shoots and its fast-growing timber. The variation of B. oldhamii, named B. oldhamii f. revoluta with green and yellow stripes culm attracted us for researching the culm color variation of B. oldhamii with RNA-seq technology. We are using the culm samples from Bambusa oldhamii (tagged DO1, DO2, DO3), and Bambusa oldhamii f. revoluta (tagged DOH1, DOH2, DOH3) for searching the key differentially expressed genes and transcription factors, which could make solid fundamental research for bamboo culm color variation.
