Dataset for Balance control after slip-like perturbations in human running when systematically altering forward trunk leaning

This dataset contains experimental and simulation data from treadmill running at 2.5 m/s, investigating balance control following slip-like anterior–posterior perturbations under systematically altered forward trunk lean conditions. Sixteen participants completed running trials in multiple trunk lean conditions while exposed to standardized belt-acceleration perturbations that were expected but unpredictable in timing. The dataset includes raw marker trajectories and ground reaction force data for all static and dynamic trials, as well as processed kinematic and kinetic outputs derived using OpenSim 4.5. Processed files comprise inverse kinematics results (joint coordinates), ground reaction forces and moments, body kinematics, and derived biomechanical variables including whole-body angular momentum. Musculoskeletal model files (generic and subject-specific scaled models) and all intermediate analysis outputs required to reproduce the reported WBAM calculations are included.
