Modeled flows of the operational circulation model of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) in the North Sea and Baltic Sea (horizontal resolution approx. 5 km). The model (HBM, HIROMB-BOOS model) runs four times a day in a configuration with a finer grid in the German Bight and Western Baltic Sea (900 m resolution, separate dataset) and a coarser grid covering the entire North Sea and Baltic Sea (5 km resolution, this dataset). The model is powered by current weather forecasts from the German Weather Service (DWD). More detailed information about the model configuration can be found in Brüning et al.
