L0 SAETTA science data

The Level 0 (L0) SAETTA data contain the records of the VHF signal that is radiated by lightning flashes in the 60-66 MHz VHF band at one of the 12 SAETTA stations. The electromagnetic signal is sampled at 40 ns time resolution per 80-µs time window. The characteristics of the 40-ns sample exhibiting the maximum of VHF source amplitude within the 80-µs time window are then stored. The L0 SAETTA data are stored per 10-min period in binary format.
