VPRS 3273 Staff Employment History Records

Employee history records were maintained by the Victoria Institute of Colleges (VA 571) to record, in summary form, key personal and employment information for each of its employees. They provided evidence of employee and employer rights and obligations. The Institute was responsible for all matters relating to the personnel function.Provision was made for recording the following information:Employee name, address, phone number, date of birth, next of kin, dependents, and specimen signature;Educational attainment, qualifications and experience;Date commenced with the Institute;Date left and reason for leaving;Position title and Department;Award classification and rate of pay;Salary history;Leave history (including long-service leave), andDate of joining superannuation fund.Researchers should note that the information is incomplete for some employees.
