Share of teachers in primary schools in Iceland 2000-2022, by gender

From 2000 to 2022, the share of female teachers in primary schools in Iceland increased. Whereas 75.9 percent of the teachers were women in 2000, it was 81.8 percent in 2022. In sum, a very high share of the primary school teachers in Iceland are women.
