The Lendt et al. 2024 dataset contains data from 69 healthy adults performing activities under a standardized laboratory protocol, including sitting, standing, walking (4-5 speeds), running (4-5 speeds), and cycling (3-5 power levels). Data was collected using a thigh-worn accelerometer (Axivity AX6, 100 Hz, ±8 g) paired with indirect-calorimetry energy expenditure measurements. The dataset also includes activity labels and steady-state energy expenditure data. The dataset is intended for energy expenditure estimation and human activity recognition from thigh-worn accelerometry.
