A comparative analysis of plastome evolution in autotrophic Piperales - additional plastome reconstructions

The manuscript titled 'A comparative analysis of plastome evolution in autotrophic Piperales' provides a review of all currently available plastomes of autotrophic Piperales, alongside new data for previously missing genera. We study plastome evolution while focusing on structural variation and explore multiple events of reading frame disruption. Our data highlight the IR-LSC junctions as potential marker for discrimination of various taxonomic levels.
The here published data compliments the data available on GenBank. The plastome reconstructions provided here are based on sequence raw data available on the Sequence Read Archive (SRA). In our study, we have assembled the plastomes from this data and explore various topics of comparative genomics.
The reconstructed plastomes are separated by accession and contain the information of the underlying sequence data in the form of the unique SRA identifier.
