资源简介:
Flower visitors to Dudleya cymosa were monitored annually starting in spring 2003. Monitoring is conducted during April and May using a video camera. A single data point consists of a record of visitation to a single plant over a 4- or 8-hour period, and a count of flowers on that plant. Each year of data contains approximately 15-25 data points distributed across 4-8 Dudleya populations on the McLaughlin Reserve. In 2005, sampling was expanded to include several Dudleya cymosa populations near Lake Berryessa. Primary flower visitors include Anna's hummingbirds, bumblebees, and large solitary bees (Anthophora and Osmia). Visitation patterns vary strikingly among years, but less so among sites.
